How to Read a Chromatogram

A chromatogram records detector response over time.

The principal peak is the signal assigned as the main component under the selected method.

Other peaks may represent related substances, residual solvents, or method artefacts. Their presence or absence is interpreted only within the method's scope.

A chromatogram is supporting analytical output. It is not, by itself, a safety or identity conclusion.
